Hello Church,
LifeBridge Church believes wholeheartedly that we are not to live with a spirit of fear (2 Tim. 1:7), however, we want to let you know the safety and well-being of our church family and community is a top priority for us a church. We are monitoring the Coronavirus news closely. As of the writing of this update, March 12, 2020, there have been 26 deaths in the U.S. related to Coronavirus, the majority occurring at a nursing home facility in the state of Washington. By way of comparison, according to the CDC, 37,000 people in the United States died from the common flu in 2019. As of today, March 12, 2020, there were 5 confirmed Coronavirus cases in Ohio.
This Sunday, March 15, 2020
With recent announcements and mandates from Governor DeWine announced today, we have made the decision to cancel our service for this Sunday, March 15, 2020. As a church leadership team, we are seeking to do our part to be proactive in doing what we can to avoid the spread of this virus in our community by limiting our largest public gathering, Sunday morning worship. We will re-evaluate next week and let you know about next Sunday. Focused Living Retreat for this Friday and Saturday, March 13 and 14, will be rescheduled to a later date. Even though we will not be gathering in person this Sunday, Pastor Dave Perkins has a very practical and timely message in the continuation of our “Asking For A Friend” series that you will not want to miss; a sermon answering the question “What Does Faith Look Like In Times Like These?” His sermon be available online in in audio format here and on our social media sites at normal service time of 10:30 a.m. on Sunday morning.

Our ministry, mission, and financial responsibilities continue even as we’ve deemed it best to not gather in person this Sunday. Steps We Are Taking
As some smaller ministry events continue, we will continue to sanitize toys in Children’s Wing and maintain our weekly thorough cleaning of the entire building as always.
What You Can Do
Pray – ask the Lord for wisdom for our health officials, hospital personnel, and those caring for people who have been affected. (Deut. 31:6)
Rely – go to God’s Word on a daily basis and rely on the hope that He offers to us in the midst of uncertainty. (Mal. 3:6)
Share – this virus has reminded many of us about our mortality. Many people are afraid, so take the opportunities as God brings them to encourage people, personally pray with people, and share with them “the hope that is in you with gentleness and respect.” (1 Pet. 3:15)
Stay – if you have underlying health issues, a cold or illness, we ask that you stay home from the activities you’re involved in. We encourage you to consider own your personal health and what is best for you and those around you.
We will continue to monitor the situation and post updates here. Let us resist the urge to panic while remaining vigilant and faithfully praying for one another.
